In all business environments the ability of the organisation to deliver and grow in capability is essential. It leads to an understanding of success focused employees and the attraction and development of key talent. An international pharmaceutical manufacture had identified some challenges within its organisation preventing it from gaining grow and commitment of a number of its employees throughout Europe despite programmes being in place to enhance capability and deliver strategic growth over a 10 year period. We were asked to understand within the business what had to be carried through to ensure the business could meet its strategic commitments and to ensure employee engagement.

Through a detailed programme of research across Europe with selected groups of employees the key blockages where identified some were at a corporate level and some at business unit level the majority of which revolved around reward and recognition together with the understanding of the individuals need to be engaged in social responsibility. Alongside the clients human resources professional The Penn Group devised and developed a programme which re-engaged with the employees and delivered the relevant outcomes.
